Embodied Transformation: Integrating somatic techniques into therapeutic practice

The body is the foundation of all our experiences. It holds our memories and experiences.  Jacquie will speak to the embodied transformation of somatic and sensorimotor psychotherapy practices in returning home to the wisdom of the body. 

This presentation will explore somatic-based practices that integrate supporting clients in cultivating a relationship with the body's wisdom through creative exploration and mindful practices.

Jacquie will invite participants on a journey of self-reflection and discussion. Participants will engage in somatic inquiry to explore embodied definitions of being in the world.  Participants will be invited to explore:

• Accessing and nurturing the wisdom of the body    
• Developing skills of somatic inquiry and creative exploration
• Integrating and understanding bottoming up processing 
• Creative and somatic embodied resources
• Deepen skills of self-reflection, curiosity, presence and mindfulness
