Sumi-e Art card by Jean Tsai (Shinryu)

Jean Tsai (Shinryu) is a Sumi-e artist, based in Toronto. Paintings are created using the calligraphy brush and black ink (sumi) made from soot. A hint of colour can be added at the end to complete a painting.

Jean finds inspiration in nature, music, and everyday conversation. She studied with the late Nihona and Sumi-e artist, Hiroshi Yamamoto, whose love of painting and teaching have greatly influenced her work. 

4 different designs. Each card comes with an envelope, and is wrapped in a clear pocket.
