My name's Pree, and I have an interdisciplinary arts practice under the name: Sticky Mangos. My work is an ode to my extended youth, I often speak of having an extended youth because I was raised in a homophobic and transphobic household, and internalized so much of that even when I realized who I was. And so I paint work that is love letters to my inner child, and affirming my queer, disabled, fat self. Beyond that, I faced food insecurity growing up, and feel inspired to create work inspired by fresh fruits and vegetables. My most popular work is my watercolour paintings of the fruit lifecycle series. Other than painting, I also embroider, create short films, write, and perform drag.
